This is my first feeling, as I read the table of content where Manfred Mueller has covered topics as vast and as diverse as homeopathic toolbox, disorders of the 21st century, antidoting, surgery, posology, aggravations, iatrogenic disorders, patients with multiple medication, and cancers. There are very few books, if any, out there with even a hint of attempting to address all these topics. Like myself, if you have been waiting for a book with such a vast scope, I am not surprised at all. The author, Manfred Mueller, intends this book for those of us interested in expanding our skills as a practitioner of homeopathy vastly beyond our present knowledge, and to improve treatment outcome – now, this broad category basically includes all of us. Yes, we know some homeopathy. Some of us know a little bit, or a lot more homeopathy than others. We all have our good days (patient improved almost beyond our expectation) and bad days (the best indicated simillimum did nothing). So essentially, we must read this book. Yet another reason why we must, is that with technological, scientific, and medical progress, the diseases, and disorders we suffer from, have become more complicated and more aggressive. We must keep our homeopathic toolbox sharp, up to date, and our skills as a practitioner even sharper. In the present day and age, our task does not end with finding a simillimum. First and foremost, we must have a plan for cleaning up the landscape. For this purpose, Manfred has included the following tools in the homeopathic toolbox: Removing the cause of the disease - Drug disorders, mercury poisoning, microwave radiations (Electromagnetic radiations, Manfred calls them, “death rays”). Antidoting the effects with tautopathic and homeopathic antidotes. Reverse clearing of iatrogenic disorders using Reverse chronological tautopathy. Choosing potency (C or Q) based on individualization. Choosing dosage based on individualization. Alternating remedies (Q potencies) as necessary when multiple disorders are present in a patient. Treating cancer diathesis as more than 90% of today’s patients have inherited cancer diathesis. After a detailed casetaking and analysis, the use of these tools will encourage you to: Use Q potency remedies to cover every chronic syndrome. Start Reverse chronological tautopathy at the same time using 30c tautopathic remedies. Select additional remedies in 30c for occasional as needed use for complaints that might appear during treatment (example, headache, asthma, pain, etc). Set up supportive and curative protocols with herbal tinctures like Gingko, Crataegus, Ashwagandha, Carduus, Fucus etc. Schedule follow ups every three weeks till the patient stabilizes. Manfred Mueller designed his style of practice based on his years of research and patient care using the tools described above. His patients with multiple chronic complaints, unmistakable cancer diathesis, and under the spell of several pharmaceutical drugs, toxins, and radiations, required him to evolve his practice to meet their needs, and he has done so using the aptly named system, “Extra-Strength Homeopathy” where he uses any and every way of finding the suitable remedy for addressing the chronic radiation, poisoning, vaccination, suppression, and mutation syndromes in his patients. He explains that these five syndromes make up the most prevalent clinical picture that we see today in practice and in the world. The cancer diathesis, present in about 95 % of the population, makes people more susceptible to the first four syndromes. Each of these syndromes have been described in detail in full chapters and the detailed presentation will help the practitioners in identifying the syndrome(s) their patients are afflicted with. In Manfred’s observation, most patients today are afflicted with more than one, and mostly with all five of the chronic syndromes. Manfred’s research on immune deficiencies, mercurialism, and how to treat chronic mercury toxicity cases (breast cancer, OCD, Multiple sclerosis, and Alzheimer’s) help enhance our awareness and understanding of these issues. Topics of antidoting of homeopathic remedies, advanced posology, Q potencies, aggravations, and application of Hahnemann’s principles to modern disorders are presented in an interview format, and through the questions and answers, the topics become very lucid and alive. Treatment of cases of hepatitis, Sjogren’s syndrome, metastasized cancers, and cancer diathesis are an example of application of the methodology of Extra-Strength Homeopathy and these examples show how to navigate these cases in our practice. What is apparent, and more than obvious from reading this book, Extra Strength Homeopathy, Powerful New Homeopathy Insight, by Manfred Mueller, is that a typical practitioner now a days will not usually see cases that are very simple and resolve with one dose of a remedy. Our patients come with various overlapping chronic syndromes and their symptoms too could be all over the place, instead of resembling keynotes of common remedies. This is a hard and cold fact – and the evolution of this situation is tied intricately with the technology and medication-riddled modern life. However, this book shows us there is no need to lose heart. We can study and understand the principles of Extra-Strength Homeopathy and figure out how to meet the needs of our complicated and sensitive patients.
